Acanthophyllia rotundiflora coral care and discussion

I remember rotundroflora being all the rage a while back, but it was super hard to track down in my area. Nowadays, I hardly ever see it for sale - I'm starting to wonder if it's just not as popular as it used to be, or if they're just really rare.

I think they've fallen out of favor a bit, not necessarily rare though. I've got a decent-sized colony myself, and I've got frags available too. They've got a nice purple base, with orange to red eyes, and that green edge on the growth.

Thanks for the info, I actually have the same one, purple base with orange/red eyes and that green growth edge.

Here's mine, it's actually more green with a splash of purple than what showed up in the pic.

What type of lighting are you using on that rotundroflora, looks like it's thriving.
