considering a cichlid tank setup

Getting a new tank soon, 4x2x2 120 gallon, and I'm thinking of stocking it with some damaSoni - I've got one in my 20g but it's getting too small, feel bad for the guy. Also want some yellow labs in there, how many of each would be a good number? What other fish would go well in this setup?

A good mix for you could be pairing Labidochromis caeruleus with some other less aggressive species, as they'll complement the yellow labs nicely. I'm not sure I'd recommend pseudotropheus demasoni, though - they can be quite aggressive and are usually best in a species-only tank or in larger numbers. Even then, you can still expect some aggression and occasional losses. With a tank your size, you've got plenty of options for more laid-back species that'll get along with your labs.

Dems aren't for beginners, they're a challenging species due to their aggression. To be honest, I think they're best suited to experienced keepers who can provide a suitable environment and a decent-sized group, ideally 10 or more. This helps to distribute the aggression and gives them the space they need. With a tank your size, you've got plenty of options for less aggressive species that would thrive and provide a great display.

I've got a local breeder at my lfs, so getting them won't be a problem. Was thinking of getting 15, I've already got a tiny one in my 20g.
