How long does it typically take for a juvenile Atlantic Blue Tang to transition from yellow to fully blue?

wait, you've got a yellow-bellied tang... just checked some websites and they're going for a pretty penny, 100% markup at least, I'm pretty sure, gonna double-check though

false alarm lol. I'm pretty sure the Atlantic juvenile tangs I've seen online are yellow, so I'm gonna take a guess that's just its young colours slowly fading out. Got my Pacific and Atlantic mixed up, oops

Honestly, the time frame doesn't really matter to me, they're pretty awesome in both stages, so yeah, fluxx care?

I came across this info that there are 3 color stages - yellow, brownish, then finally blue.

it's gonna vary depending on the fish and its environment, but ours hit full blue at around 1.5 inches

I've had my Atlantic Blue Tang for 6 months now and it's only got a thin blue line around its dorsal fin and eyes, nothing too dramatic. It's just over 2 inches, not exactly what I expected.

I'm fairly certain it's an Atlantic Blue Tang. Yellow Tangs don't have any blue markings.

Atlantic Blue Tangs also have a distinct body shape, different from the yellow ones. Great job on the tank setup, by the way.
