My little kribs have started a family, it's chaos in the tank.

The parents are on high alert, guarding the babies from anything that comes near - I've counted around 12-15 of them so far.

No breeding trap for them just yet, I could try to coax them in with the sipLion, but they seem pretty safe where they are, so I'm in no rush.

I've added some finely ground flake food to the tank, they seem to be munching on that pretty happily. Should I be doing anything else? They're also going to town on the bogwood, sucking away like it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Just a gentle update, I'm keeping a close eye on the little family.

I'm not sure about using a breeding trap just yet, but if you do decide to move them, could you use a plastic container or something to scoop them up with some water, that way you're not netting them. I've never bred kribs before, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to leave the fry with the parents - I moved my swordtail fry with a net, not the best method I know.

Kribs are brilliant parents, best to just let them get on with it. The fry are already eating the infusoria on the bogwood, that's what they're sucking away at. You can get liquid fry food if you want, but honestly, just grinding up the flake small is fine, and if that's not enough, the parents will sort them out, they'll chew their food and spit it out for the little ones.
