feeding and caring for your betta

I've recently added a pair of halfmoon betta to my collection and I'm planning to breed them. I've got a mix of hikari frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, and frozen mysis shrimp, along with hikari micro pellets and micro wafers. I've come across advice that they shouldn't be fed too much high-nutritious food, but I'm unsure about the best way to portion and ration the different foods for conditioning.

Do you guys have any suggestions on the frequency of feeding the three frozen foods? I was thinking of alternating between the three frozen foods every two days as snacks, in addition to daily micro pellets/wafers. This would mean they'd get each type of frozen food about once a week - on a 6-day cycle. Does this sound like a decent plan?
