Who Gives A Fish Forums

I've got a BBA issue on my anubias and bolbitis - it's covering the roots and leaves. I'm wondering if I can cut the leaves and trim the roots right back, so I'm just left with the rhizome stuck to the structure. Would this work, or would I end up killing the plants? I'd like to start fresh, but I don't want to get rid of them entirely.
