Hey guys,
Got this frag from a local reefer - is this what a resting candy cane coral looks like?

At night, the tentacles come out and it engulfs food if I put it right on a polyp, but honestly, it doesn't look much different than this during the day.

Been in my tank for 3 weeks now. I'm about to get a water test done, but here's what I've got so far from flintix9t's test:

Ph: 7.9
Salinity: 1.026
Temp: 77
Kh: 11

My tank's been up for over 5 years, but I've only had it for 2 months - it's a 20-gallon with 2 HOB filters acting as powerheads, a protein skimmer, and 4-24Watt T5 Bulbs (2-10K, 2-actinic).

Appears fine to me.

Looks like it's doing alright, could use a bit more puff to it though.

I agree with BankoLite on the poofiness, my own experience with trumpet corals is that they can look quite similar to yours when they're not in ideal conditions. I have two setups, one is pretty exposed like yours, and the other is tucked away in a shaded crevice - the latter has really taken off, with more heads and each one is fuller.

Your tank, by the way, looks great with the macros up front and the rockwork in the back.

My candy cane took about a month to start looking its best, a friend of mine had a similar experience.
