I've got a tank with a built-in filtration system - this one to be exact: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X958X7Z/?tag=ff0d01-20. It's meant for saltwater, but I'm using it for freshwater, which the manufacturer says is okay. The issue I'm having is with the pump that comes with it - it's too strong for my Betta fish. It's got specs listed if you want to take a look. I'm looking for a pump with a weaker current that my Betta can handle. I did find a different version of the pump I have, which might be less strong - it's this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EKNP2A6/?tag=ff0d01-20. It's for a different model, but I think it should work. If anyone knows of a better pump, I'd appreciate some suggestions.

I think a sponge filter would be the way to go, it'd really tone down the flow. Would love to see a pic of that pump, if you don't mind sharing.

I'm not familiar with the specific tank you have, but I've had a similar setup in my Fluval Flex. I ended up swapping out the original pump for an Eheim Compacton 300, which I found to be much quieter and less powerful. One of the best features is that it's adjustable, allowing you to really dial down the flow to a level that should be suitable for your Betta fish.

Hi, I'm new here but I just had to chime in on this - that pump is way too powerful for a Betta, it's not a good idea at all. I'd strongly advise you to replace it ASAP, for your Betta's sake.

I'm not a fan of the strong pump for bettas, but it's better than having no filtration at all.

I'm getting a new tank with a new filter, so that's a relief. My Betta will definitely feel better with a more suitable setup.
