Galaxea coral care and advice

I'm really sorry to ask this, I feel like it's probably super basic, but I'm not sure what's going on with my coral - there's this white stuff growing out of it. I'm hoping it's just a new part growing, but I'm worried it might be something bad. If anyone could help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks so much for any help you can give me!
Happy reefing

It's likely a sponge, buddy, nothing to worry about.

I'm still unsure about that white stuff - is it something I should be worried about or just let it be?

It's harmless, leave it be, it won't bother the coral.

They're just filter feeders, completely harmless.
