Just tidied up the tank on water change day, got rid of the annoying rocks that kept stubbing my toes. Pulled out a load of sand, moved the plastic logs, and hid the rocks behind them. Water was a right mess, all cloudy from disturbing the substrate and adding sand back in, but it's clearing up nicely now. Those auritus are already shifting loads of sand about... Hope you like the result.

Still getting used to the Fluval Roma240, but it's working well for my Tanganyika Community.

Lovely setup you've got there, zenrow. Had a think about a Tanganyika community tank myself, might have to give it a go.

Looks good mate, mbuna Tang tanks always seem bare in comparison, I've found.

Lovely setup, but those rocks, what's the story behind 'em? Not trying to be harsh, just a thought, but a few more rocks would do wonders. Maybe create a bit of a focal point on one side, and another smaller one towards the back, near the shellies.

Nice rocks, what type are they? Not being overly critical mate but I'd definitely add more rock. Maybe try and build it up a little at one side and put another smaller build in the far corner close to the shellies.

Its big and heavy, only really using it to conceal the plastic logs that the auritus use as tunnels, might add a couple of pieces if I can find smaller bits, just bought it from garden centre, described as landscape rock. Been told its Carboniferous Age Limestone or Black Rock Limestone, see link.

Love the rock, looks spot on in the tank. Definitely the business. Yeah, it's a heavy beast, been thinking of adding more to mine but I'm a bit wary of the weight. Got about 40kgs in there now, got some wee caves and whatnot, but kept it low to avoid any collapses and also want to add some Cyps, want to give them some space to swim without the others bothering them.
