Considering my future plans for the 130 litre Lake Inle biotope, I've been thinking of setting up a smaller 60 litre tank for some nano fish. I'd appreciate some recommendations on suitable livestock for this size tank. What would be your choice of tank for a setup like this?

Endlers or neons would be great, add some pygmy cories for a nice mix. I'd also consider a few shrimp and maybe a couple Nerite snails. Some might find it dull, but I think it's perfect.

Depends on your water hardness, really.

Pygmy cories are a great choice. I'm actually thinking of doing a species-only aquarium, just focusing on one type of fish.

Picking up on a few points - 60 liters is 15 gallons, for clarity. Considering the water parameters, especially GH, will be crucial in selecting the fish species. Nano fish, due to their higher metabolism, are more sensitive to water issues like temperature fluctuations. Soft sand is a must for cories as a substrate. And, floating plants will be necessary to dim the overhead lighting.
