I'm not sure if matted filtidflow reefs are safe, I think it's a bit of a myth. I saw one at the LFS and it was with coflakes but it was nipping at the zoanthids, they all closed up. I really like them but I'm skeptical.

Also, does anyone know about elegance coflakes? Mine doesn't look great at all, it was closed up when I added an airstone but it opened up again after I turned it off. Then I thought I'd feed it and it closed up again. I turned off the white lights and when I checked on it, it looked like the ends were coming off the skeleton and this white stringy stuff was coming out of the bottom, like loads of intestines. What could be wrong? I don't want it to die. If anyone knows, please help, I'm going to have to wait and see what happens.

Matted are supposed to be reef safe, but like all fish, some are and some aren't.

Also, does anyone know what's going on with elegance coflakes? mine is looking really bad. I put a airstone in and it closed up, turned it off and it came out again. I fed it and it closed up again, then I turned off the white lights. Now it looks like the ends are coming off the skeleton and there's this white stuff coming out the bottom, like its insides are coming out. What's wrong with it? I don't want it to die .

How long have you had the Cat? What's it's colour like, where is it placed in the tank? what are your water stats like?

I think it's getting better now, them white things are going away and it's opening up a bit, was a right mess when it happened, I reckon it was just digesting or something, thanks for the replies.
