I've had a lobo colony going strong for months, but lately I've noticed the top edges are getting white. Too much light, maybe, or some sort of chemical imbalance? Also, my Mycedium - it's been in the tank for 4 months, doing great, but recently it's started turning brown. Like, solid brown. Not enough light, perhaps? Both are in a similar spot in the tank, so I'm not sure what's going on.

In general, it's possible that the white edges on your lobo could be due to excessive light, and the browning of your Mycedium might be a result of insufficient light. However, without having a look at some pictures or knowing your water chemistry, it's challenging to provide a more detailed assessment.

Regarding your lobo, is the white coloration still covered with flesh, or is the white skeleton visible underneath? If it's the latter, that could indicate recession, which is a more serious issue than simple bleaching.

Here are the pics of the lobos. I moved the Mycedium to the other tank, but they were literally right next to each other in the same spot. The lobos are still flesh-colored, very full and fluffy - no skeleton poking through.

My water parameters are: Nitrate - 0, Nitrite - 0, Phosphates - 0, Ammonia - 0, Salinity 1.025, Alk 8.1, Magnesium 1280, calcium 360.
