I do keep the adults separate, but you're gonna spoil 'em rotten. I'll grow all the fry together, males and females, till they're almost adult size.

I spawned them in a 10 gallon tank, so space is limited - 30 fry max for me.

I've got my betta boy solo in a ten gallon, just him, a few snails and some plants for company. I'm thinking of ditching the black sand, those little beady poops are way too visible.

i keep my male betta in a 10 gallon with short fin Guppies, no delta tail neptunes for me, the female has her own space in a 10 gallon blue dream shrimp tank

definitely wouldn't mix bettas with long thin neptunes
