I've got this little gourami that's always dealing with fin rot. Recently, I moved her to a quarantine tank with some new baby fish I brought in from outside.
Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse - it turned out one of the platies was bullying her pretty badly.
I removed the aggressive platy today, so now the tank just has medaka and some guppy fry.

I'm curious, can pearl gouramis handle salt for healing purposes? I'm planning on using @coltin's formula for aquarium salt to see if it helps her recover.
She always gets nipped whenever I try to move her back, so I think she'll just have to stay in the QT tank until she grows bigger and stronger.

Freshwater fish can generally handle a mild salt treatment, like 1-2 tablespoons of sodium chloride for a few weeks. I'd recommend trying this to see if it helps your gourami heal.

However, it's also worth considering that your gourami might have an underlying issue, especially if it's always been weaker than the others. It could be a parasite problem, a genetic thing, or something else entirely. You might want to look into that to figure out why it keeps getting fin rot.

If it's always the same fin that's affected, it's possible that there's a bacterial infection or the fish just has a weak immune system.
