Open brain and candy cane corals
Posted: Tue Nov 12, 2024 3:11 pm
I just got a red open brain and a blue/green candy cane coral, but they're not opening up for feedings at night like I was told to expect. They look great during the day, all puffed up, but nighttime feeding is a no-go. Is there a trick to get these guys to eat?
My tank specs are:
Sal 1.024
Alk 8.7 (still working on bumping this up)
PH 8.1
Nitrates 0.25
Nitrites 0
Amonia 0
Phos 0
Magnesium 1350
Ca 460
I've got a Halloween clown and an Orchid dotty in the tank, both mid-tank in my Red Sea 130. Flow's light to moderate, depending on the powerhead cycle. Lighting's 55W compact t5 and 10k actinics.
