Choosing plants for a small tank.

I'm setting up a 3 gallon tank with a small angelfish and I want a low-maintenance plant. I've got fine gravel and good lighting, but I'm new to aquarium plants. Any suggestions for something that'll thrive in these conditions?

Is that 3 gallons or 30? I'm really hoping it's the latter. Assuming it's indeed 3 gallons, I'd recommend some hardy plants that should thrive in your tank. Anubias and java fern are great options, as they're relatively low-maintenance and can tolerate a range of conditions. For a more delicate look, you might consider the smaller, fine-leaved species of vallisneria. Additionally, cryptocoryne species come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so you're likely to find one that suits your tank.

3 gallons is roughly 11-12 litres, not 20, but that's beside the point. An angelfish needs space, a lot more than a 3-gallon tank can offer. I'm talking at least 100-200 litres with decent depth. It's not going to stay small for long, trust me. It'll double in size in no time, and keeping it in such a small tank is just not right. Silvy's got a point, I'm really hoping it's a typo.
