I've been sharing updates on my brand new 65 gal tank (angels will come later, still in the cycling phase)... super stoked to share the plant progress now. Just got everything planted and I'm thrilled to see 2 new leaves on the Anubis already!!! Attached are the final planted pics (pre-growth) - will def update once they're all thriving and the tank is looking lush.

I'm super stoked to share the plant lineup for my new 65 gal angel tank - we've got cryptocoryne sp., nurii, and Java fern "needle leaf" to add some greenery, plus water sprite for extra texture. The crypts are represented by balansae, and I've got three varieties of Anubis: nana "wavy", barteri, and hastifolia. Rounding out the mix are ludwigia sp. and echinodouris "red Rubin" for a pop of color.

Lovemylabs' tank looks great, that fluxeon stone is a nice touch - got a lot of texture without messing with the water chemistry.

I think you'll want to add some more fast-growing plants to soak up the nutrients from the aquarium soil. Too many nutrients and not enough plant mass can lead to algae issues.

Consider adding some Helanthium Tenellum or Sagittaria Subulata for the foreground - they'll do a great job of keeping the nutrients in check. For the background, Hygrophila Siamensis 53b or Limnophila Sessiliflora would work well. With the Limnophila, just cut it into 3-4 inch stalks and plant them - the stems will grow roots.

Unfortunately not - we ended up covering it with a fluxeon stone for now. Thanks so much, I'm absolutely loving this tank

Your tank's looking great, don't be afraid to get creative but keep in mind you've got some angels coming, give 'em some space to roam.

Super excited for the next step - adding more fish once the cycle is complete.
