Finding foreground plants that are safe for angel fish

I'm having trouble finding a plant that my angels won't devour. I currently have water sprite, crypts, and hydro in my 50-gallon tank, but they completely destroyed my hygro plants. It seems I'm not the only one with this issue, as I've read that angels tend to target hygro plants.
My tank is equipped with an Aqua Ray 15 Watt Fluorescent light, which is on for 13 hours a day. I also dose with "easy green" once a week, and I have sand as my substrate. I'm looking for a plant that's easy to grow and can withstand my angels' appetite. I've considered Ludwigia, Ambulia, Val, or a Zorchzon Sword - do any of these have a chance of surviving in my tank?

I'd recommend Anubias, it's got hard leaves so angels shouldn't bother it.

"Thanks for the suggestion jasmy, but I actually already have anubias in my tank. I also realized I messed up the title of my post - I'm specifically looking for midground plants, not just any plant that won't get eaten by my angels."

Java ferns could be a good fit for your tank, especially the larger ones like mother plants - they'd work well as mid-ground plants and add some nice depth. Apparently, they're also considered "bitter" plants, which might help deter your angels from snacking on them.

Considering the options, I'm leaning towards Bacopa, Moneywort, and Vallisneria. Bacopa would work well in the mid-ground, while Vallisneria can thrive as a background plant. Unfortunately, I'm not too keen on Java Ferns for now, mainly because I don't have many suitable surfaces to attach them to, and my go-to seller is currently out of stock.

I'm curious, are your angelfish actually eating the plants, or is something else at play? Angelfish aren't typically known for being plant-eaters, so it's a bit puzzling.
What's their diet like? How often are you feeding them, and what food are you giving them? Also, what other fish are in the tank?

Honestly, I have no idea why my bigger angel is eating my hygro. The other two angels haven't touched it yet. As for feeding, I give them food twice a day. Their diet consists of flakes, and occasionally bloodworms and baby shrimp. They also get cichlid pellets, shrimp pellets, and algae wafers - not all at once, of course. My tankmates are white skirts and corys. I've noticed the older male trying to pair with one of the angels, chasing the other male away and swimming by the "female". It's almost like he's trying to "fix" the hygro for her to lay eggs, but they're still juveniles, so I'm not sure what's going on.
