just saw my kribs mating and now i'm curious - how long's the gravid period?

I knew they would.
You're asking how long it takes for the eggs to hatch, right? Kribs lay eggs that usually take around 4-5 days to hatch, and then a few more days to become free swimming.

Are you talking about them putting on a display for each other? That can go on for a bit and you might not see any eggs right away, even if they do mate. It's pretty cool to watch, though.

they were swimming around each other, looked almost like a little dance, but also kinda like they were fighting, hard to tell.

Sounds like things might be kicking off with your kribs. I'm guessing they've got a cozy spot to call their own - I think I see a plant pot in your signature pic, is that a cave in the making?

Yeah, they've got 2 caves to choose from. Before they started this whole mating thing, her belly was super red, but now it's pretty much back to normal. And I've also noticed she's got a bit more yellow to her now.
Just went to check on them, and the male is literally standing on his head, tail straight up. If something happens to him, I'm seriously gonna consider packing it all in and selling the whole aquarium.

looks like he's hiding from her now, i just spooked him out and she's chasing him all around the tank.

Just did a water change, swapped out about a third of it.
