I've got this frag, no idea what it is, but the real concern is this weird growth in the middle. It's formed this short, wide tube thing that looks like a worm, and from that, it shoots out around 10 super thin, web-like strings. These strings collect all sorts of particulate matter and then reel it back in. The whole thing moves around like a snail, but it stays put in its little "home". Has anyone else seen something like this before? Whiskey tango foxtrot - I'm completely stumped.

Gonipora? That thing in the middle seems way too active for a gonipora, it's like it's got a life of its own.

Your fishing tube worm is probably a vermetid snail - those guys are known for building those tube structures and collecting particles with their web-like appendages.

I'm inclined to agree, looks like a setosa to me. The worm-like tube structure and those spiderweb strings seem to match.

Vermetid snail's definitely a good call. Those web-like strings can be pretty annoying to neighboring corals, so keep an eye on it.

Don't let it get out of hand. Crush the vermetid snail with pliers ASAP or you'll be dealing with a massive infestation.
