I'm thinking of housing different species of clowns together in the same tank, assuming they're tank bred. I'll post the list of clowns I'm considering tonight or tomorrow morning.
Thanks,
Josh

Here's my proposed stocking plan for my 55 G flourWater tank -
I'm thinking 2 tank-bred Ocellaris Clowns, 2 tank-bred Teardrop Ocellaris Clowns, 2 tank-bred Black & White Ocellaris Clowns, and 2 tank-bred Tomato Clowns. I'd also like to add a single Blue Damsel.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. If you've had a fish you think I'd really like, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Honestly, no - you're gonna need a massive tank, 200 gallons or more, to house multiple pairs of clowns. If you try to keep them in a smaller tank like your 55 gallon, you'll probably end up with just one dominant pair of either Tomatoes or Ocellaris.

If you introduce them all at once, the tomato and one pair of ocellaris might work out, but having two pairs of ocellaris is not a good idea at all.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster, multiple clown species in the same tank, it's gonna be a fight to the finish.

Sounds like a chaotic mess. Multiple clown species and a damsel in a 55G tank? That's a recipe for disaster.

I think it's saying there's gonna be a huge fight in that tank, like a WWE match, and only the strongest will survive. Clowns are way more aggressive than you'd think, especially to their own kind. And don't even get me started on the damsel, they're known to be pretty aggressive too.
You might want to consider some different species, like dwarf angels or gobies, they're usually pretty chill. Wrasse or filefish could work too, just saying.

fleeton,
How does this revised stocking sound?
2 Ocellaris Clowns - Tank Bred.
1 Teardrop Ocellaris Clown - Tank Bred.
1 Black & White Ocellaris Clown - Tank Bred.
Thanks,
Josh

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure Fleeton said having 2 pairs of Ocellaris isn't a good idea, and you've still got 4 of them in your plan. That's a recipe for disaster - it's like a free for all between the clowns. And let's not forget, clowns can be super aggressive towards their own kind, let alone other species. You should really think about going for some other options. If you're still set on doing it, I wish you luck, and I hope you're not prepared to lose a lot of money on this.

I really like the Clowns, and Damsels too. Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it.
