My scoly is splitting: what's happening?

I'm having some issues with my scoly and I didn't get much help in the general discussion, so I thought I'd try here. I've had it for 3 years now, and it's developed two mouths - it only had one before. Has this happened to anyone else? How long did the process take? Are there any pics I could look at for reference?

Come to PA and I'll split it in two with my diamond saw

No rush to frag here, thanks for the offer though. If it does decide to split on its own, that'd be pretty cool.

I've always thought scolys just released babies, but this one definitely looks like it's splitting in two.

That's a pretty cool possibility, it might just turn into a double scoly for you.

From experience, I've seen this before and I'm pretty sure it's not splitting. What's happening is your scoly is developing another mouth, but it'll still keep its single-head body.

Maybe this is a weird coincidence, but I've been noticing my scoly's change around the same time my wife's been acting up - I'm not saying it's directly related or anything, but it's just a weird timing thing.
