Amwell aquatics has a pair of mcCoskers flashers - if anyone's interested they do mail order

Ugh, why must these gorgeous fish always appear when I'm maxed out on my stocking limit.

Keep an eye out, I'm on the verge of upgrading to a 6ft tank.

The person who gets their hands on these McCosker's flashers will be incredibly lucky - they'll have some truly stunning additions to their aquarium.

The thing with stocking levels is they're more like guidelines, right? Being cautious is key, but with regular upkeep and maintenance, you can bend the rules a bit. Just don't let maintenance fall by the wayside if you're pushing the limits.

Thats my problem Bud, I'm already maxed out, adding more would be a nightmare. I can barely keep up with what I have, any more would be a logistical disaster.

I'm currently sorting out the water situation for the 6ft tank, and I think getting an RO unit would be the way to go - it'd be more cost-effective in the long run.

Right now, I have to fetch water, and it's a real ordeal - it gets loaded into my mom's car, and then it just sits there until either Andrew gets around to unloading it or I charm one of the neighbors into helping me out.

The process is a bit of a joke - the water gets lifted out of the car, and then Andrew has to lug it upstairs to our lounge. I can only imagine how chaotic it'd be if I had to do that every time I did a water change.

I know what you're thinking - "fluxx, just get the RO unit already!" But it's not that simple - it won't fit under the sink, and we'd have to find a new spot for it in our cupboard. Andrew needs to sort out some space for it, but that can't happen until the shed gets its electricity hooked up. It's a bit of a waiting game, but it'll be worth it in the end.

Give the hubby a kick up the backside, lol. Adding a pair to your existing flasher stock might be a recipe for disaster, though.
