hi,

so i'm thinking of putting different euphyllia species next to each other in my nem cube - will they fight if they touch? eric suggested this setup with various torches and frogspawn in the upper rockwork, sounds awesome, but what if they spread and start battling?

i'm imagining a bunch of torches and frogspawn all mixed up, but i don't want them going to war if they touch. has anyone had experience with this?

No, I really don't think that's gonna be a problem.

My experience with mixing euphyllia types has shown that torches can be quite aggressive. I've had success keeping hammers and frogspawn together, but I make sure to keep my torches at a safe distance - about a handspan away from the rest.

Thanks for the input, helps a lot. So, what if I just have different types of hammers touching each other?

Mixing different types of hammers is fine, and pairing hammers with frogspawn works too. Just be sure to keep torches separate from the others, except for when they're with their own kind.

I'm still leaning towards going with the torches, I've got three different ones lined up to start. I think it'll be really cool to have them lighting up the upper half of the rocks, and my gigantea at the base will add some nice depth.

I've got a torch and grape that are now making contact - they're just barely touching. So far, no issues after a few days.
