I'm in the market for a 5-gallon tank with a filter that's got a pretty mild flow. My betta's super active, always darting around and swimming back and forth like crazy. I actually just got a 3-tank setup, but I really think I need to upgrade to a 5-gallon tank. Any suggestions would be great.

I've got a few suggestions for 5-gallon tanks that might work well for your active betta. The Interpet 19l/5 gal halfmoon pod is one I personally like, and I think it's quite suitable for a betta, if I'm being honest.

Another one I like is the Tetra Art Explorer, which is a bit larger at 30l/7.5gals, but it's a really neat tank.

Lastly, the Fluval Spec V 19l/5 gal tank is also a good option, but you might need to adjust the filter flow to make it more suitable for your betta.

Keep in mind that these tanks might not be the cheapest options, but they look great, and I'm sure you can find them second-hand in good condition for a lower price. I've got the Tetra Art Explorer and the Fluval Spec V myself, and I can vouch for their quality – I got them both second-hand, and they're still going strong.

Of course, there are many more 5-gallon tanks out there, with different prices and styles, so I'm sure others will have some suggestions for you as well.

If you find a tank that suits your taste, you're not tied to the filter that comes with it. For bettas, sponge filters powered by air pumps are a great option, as they provide a gentle flow that's well-suited for these active fish.
