Kribensis behavior inquiry

I've had my kribensis for about a month now and they're super shy - hardly ever come out of the cave. The female will occasionally make an appearance, but it's not very often. Then just last night, the male surprised me by coming out and starting to dig in the sand under my driftwood. I spent hours searching online, but couldn't find any info on this behavior - does it mean they're getting ready to breed? Either way, it was pretty entertaining to watch.

I think you meant burrowing, right. I was wondering if you'd borrowed some kribs from a friend or something.

Anyway, from what I know, this behavior is usually a sign that they're getting ready to mate. I've had my kribs for a while now, and I've noticed they do this before spawning.

Do all your kribs live in that thirty-gallon tank of yours? It does look pretty stocked. If they do end up laying eggs, I'd definitely recommend removing them to give them a better chance of survival.

the female is swimming around outside the cave right now and the male is inside, just chillin'. so even if they did lay eggs, i wouldn't be able to get to them anyway because they're way deep in my plastic driftwood cave thingy. wasn't talking about eggs, just saying they're really far in there.

I just sat down and observed for a bit, and I guess she's out more than I thought. I was still and quiet for a minute, and she came out, then she was out the whole time I was sitting there - about half an hour. She'd go in and out of the cave, and it seems like she's being really aggressive, chasing away any fish that comes near the cave. And weirdly, she even went after my albino BN pleco, who wasn't even near the cave.
