Achilles tangs also seem to thrive in pretty rough waters, not exactly the sort of environment you'd typically find in a softie or LPS setup.

I've got a lip stick and achilles in my 24g, massive mistake I know. The LFS guy said it'd be alright, but we all know how that works out. Seriously though, I saw this setup on reefvideos.com, a 4x4x4 cube and it's incredible, but you're talking serious cash for a decent reef setup to keep those tangs happy. I always end up back at plan A, it's like I don't even consider plan B anymore.

Honestly, I think 5ft is the bare minimum for tangs, but even that's a bit tight. They're built for long-distance swimming, so anything under 6ft is basically a fish-sized straightjacket. I mean, I get it, when they're small, you can keep them in smaller tanks with the intention of upgrading, but trust me, they grow fast. Be warned, you don't wanna be stuck with a cramped tang. Surprised the tang enthusiasts haven't chimed in yet, lol.

I almost burst out laughing at that. That's Fluxx I've posted repeatedly here. No more excuses for our members - a simple glance at the sticky on the top of the fish section is all it takes.
