Troubleshooting hammer coral issues

Walls always catch my eye, but reading about struggles like yours makes me even more cautious about getting one - I'm holding out for a branching type instead. Hope your coral pulls through, but not looking good.

Thanks for the input, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how a coral can be doing great and then just start dying off like this. It's really got me wondering what's missing from our tanks that they have in the wild.
