Blue Tangs are high-energy fish. A 55 gallon might work for a short while, but long-term, it's not ideal. They need swimming space and pristine water conditions. What's your water change routine like?

I do 20% water changes every two weeks. Sounds like I should hold off on the Blue Tang for now. Appreciate all the advice, folks.

Smart move. Your tank sounds healthy, so maybe look into some smaller, more suitable species. A pair of Firefish or a Blenny could be a great addition.
