Alk stability is key for coral health, especially LPS like Torches. 7's on the low side, aim for 8-9. Sudden changes are worse than a slightly low level, so raise it slowly over a few days.

Yeah, and don't freak if your Torch closes up for a day or two after adding it. They're drama queens. Just keep params steady and they'll bounce back. What's your nitrate at? Mine do best around 5-10 ppm.

Agreed. Mine sulked for three days once, then opened up bigger than ever. Patience is everything with these guys.
