I'm thinking it's possible that the pale sunnygold is a sub-dominant male, given the stress factor, it could be a plausible explanation, don't you think?

I'm starting to think my sunnygold might be a sub dominant male, could that be why it's looking pale, or is it still just stress from being new to the tank?

Has the colour always been like that or was it a proper yellow when you first got it? If it's always been pale it's possible it's a hybrid, but if it's still eating well that's a good sign, don't worry too much about it.

It's been a bit pale, but it's gotten even paler, still eating well though.
