Stick to 25% changes every other day if using meds, as some can build up to toxic levels. If just using salt and heat, you can do one 50% change at the end of treatment.

Also, keep an eye on your tankmates if you have any. Some meds are harsh on snails and shrimp. Had to move my nerites to a quarantine tank last time.

My betta had something similar, turned out to be flukes. Had to use PraziPro. Took a while but he pulled through. Now he's back to flaring at his reflection like nothing happened.

Man, parasites are the worst. Lost my first betta to ich cause I didn't catch it in time. Now I check my fish every day like a hawk.

Prevention is key. I always quarantine new plants and tankmates for at least two weeks. Learned that the hard way after introducing ich from a 'clean' snail.
