I'm on Red Sea regular, and my tank's sps dominant. Got a low nutrient system going on, and I know from experience that corals can get pretty upset when nutrients are low and params are high.

You're dealing with alk that's nearly off the charts, 13 is crazy.

Yeah I see what you're saying now. I wasn't trying to argue or anything, just wanted to know why the Coral Pro salt isn't good for my tank. I started using it way before I added corals and never thought to research it after. The parameters of the Pro salt are pretty high, so I think I'm gonna switch to the regular Sea Salt version when I'm out of the Pro salt. I'm also gonna lower my salinity to 1.023.
One thing that's still got me wondering is the factory PC lighting. How old can the bulbs get before I should replace them? One is almost a year old and the other is only a month old.

If I were in your shoes, I'd make the switch to the regular Red Sea salt, keep the salinity at 1.026/35ppt. I've had nothing but great results with this salt over the years, tests always come out spot on. Average alk's around 7.9, calcium's at 400. Even my triton tests have been dead on, no issues whatsoever.

I don't think the lack of target feeding is the issue with your frogspawn and other corals not extending. My experience is that frogspawn grows quickly using whatever food particles are available in the water.
Testing the big 3 - Alk, Ca, and Mg - would be a good idea, in my opinion. With your tank's water volume and the age of your corals, it's possible they're entering a growth phase and using up a lot of these parameters. Even with a reputable brand like Red Sea Coral Pro, it's possible your usage is exceeding the amount you're replenishing. I've been using this salt for years and was surprised at how depleted my parameters were when I started testing. That's when I began dosing with a two-part system.
I'm not saying this is definitely the cause of your issue - corals can deflate for no reason sometimes. But it's worth looking into the possibility of low Alk, Ca, and Mg parameters.

Thanks reef frog for the info. I'm probably gonna grab some hanna checkers or something similar to test alk, ca, and mg. Just for instances like this, you know, to keep an eye on things.

I've seen a huge difference when I started target feeding my corals, their growth and color just exploded.
