Had the same prob last year. Moved the Salvinia to a tub with no filter, just an airstone, and it went nuts. Sometimes they just wanna chill in still water.

Floaters are picky. Too much flow, too little light, wrong nutrients, they'll bail on you fast.

This was my issue too. My tap water's like liquid rock. Had to switch to RO for the floaters.
