Fish poop can definitely help, but it's not always enough. If you're running high light or CO2, you'll need to supplement. Otherwise, the plants will starve.

True. It's all about balance. Too much light without enough ferts or CO2 is a recipe for disaster. But if you're low-tech, you can get away with less.

For anyone new to Buce, I'd recommend starting with low light and no CO2. Once you see how it behaves, you can tweak things. Less chance of melting that way.

Mine are in a shady corner and they're growing slow but steady. No fancy stuff, just a basic LED and weekly water changes.
