Another tip: if you're using root tabs, place them near the roots but not directly under. Too close can burn the roots. I've seen it happen with Crypts.

Good point about the root tabs. I usually space them out every 4-6 inches. Also, if you're adding Moss Balls, give 'em a gentle squeeze during water changes to keep 'em clean.
