My Jager's been chilling at the bottom of a 40g for ages. No drama. But hey, if you're worried, just angle it sideways. Works the same and looks less intimidating.

Sand's fine, hookit. Just don't bury the heater in it. Leave some space for water flow. Angler_09, you got a powerhead in that 55g? Helps even out the heat.
