Guppies are like potato chips—can't have just one. But overcrowding's a killer. How many you got in that 20-gallon?

Check your filter flow too. Guppies prefer calm water. If it's too strong, they'll stress and waste energy fighting it.

This. Big-box store guppies are often inbred. Try a local breeder next time.
