i had two peppermints but lost the second one a day after getting it, all tank stats were fine though
thinking of trying to find a local copperband that eats well and give it a go

I've heard that Austflakeia copperbands are worth looking into, they're apparently better at catching and exporting them.

I'll start looking around at some point. Have you come across any reliable sources while you've been searching for one, or are you still on the fence about getting a copperband?

I've found that copperbands from local fish stores, not wholesalers, tend to be more receptive to food. My experience with TMC copperbands hasn't been great, they're a real challenge to get feeding and often end up underweight. In contrast, imports just need some time and consistent feeding, and they're usually good to go within 3-4 weeks.
