Check the expiration date on the pellets. Old food can lose its appeal. Also, make sure you're not overfeeding, uneaten food messes with water quality.

Good point. And if you're using flakes, switch to pellets. Flakes dissolve too fast and can foul the water.

Another thing, try feeding at the same time every day. Bettas are creatures of habit. Mine knows when it's food time and waits at the surface.

If he's still not eating, consider a garlic soak. Some folks swear it stimulates their appetite. Just a tiny bit of garlic juice on the food.

Also, make sure there's no current where you're feeding. Bettas hate fighting the flow to eat. Mine won't touch food if the filter's too strong.
