Thanks for understanding, Tina - I love the casual chats we have on here.

Owl, appreciate the heads up - is it the maroon pair on UR you're thinking of?

Scott, cheers, you've made my day - I was having similar thoughts, seeing those bigger tanks with two pairs of clowns, common percs and maroons made me wonder if it's doable.

I already have two nems, but that's not the issue - my percs host a toadstool, thinking of moving the toadstool to the far end, and then placing the maroons at the other end, what's your take on that?

If you decide on the Maroons, I'd definitely move the toadstool to the other end, it minimizes potential issues. Having Bill and Ben at either end would be beneficial, just in case the percs see the other clowns hosting and get any ideas.

I'd have to get two nems, my percs have hosted a nem before, they were in a tank with a bubble tip nem when I bought them. Now that I'm planning on getting nems, a 6ft tank would be perfect.

Apologies for jumping in, seems to be a bit of a trend on this thread. I'm keen to get my clowns hosting, but my tank's a tad too small for a standard nem - are there dwarf varieties available? If not, what other hosting options would you recommend? My two clowns have definitely paired up, and it'd be great to see them hosting.

My percs that had the nem in the shop took to hosting straight away. Firstly the powerhead, then my frogspawn - didn't quite work out as planned. After a bit of research, I found that they have a thing for Rhodactis indosinensis, or hairy mushrooms as they're more commonly known - check the pic in my sig.

Seffie's pair host her Leather, but mine never showed any interest. Apparently, hairy mushrooms are a pretty common substitute and work well for clowns.
