@dartle I thought I'd mention that not all of bayside's suggestions are available in the UK. I've been doing some reading and it's been an eye-opener - I wouldn't have known any better and would've just gone for flakes otherwise. I think I'm going to start off with a mix of Fish science tropical granules and some New Life Spectrum pellets with garlic, I've heard they're good for fish that are stressed while adjusting to a new tank.

I've got a mix going on. Currently, I'm using Omega One flakes, Northfin community formula pellets, Northfin kelp wafers, and Northfin bug pro. Since my tank's mostly small fish, I crush everything up before adding it in.
