although the fish isn't showing any visible signs of illness it's behaving like an ill fish, so maybe it's not something we can see. given another demasoni died and none of the other fish have been affected, maybe this one just wasn't as badly affected? you wouldn't add more fish to a tank where the fish are stressed or showing signs of illness, that's just common sense. and with demasoni being so aggressive, adding more would be the final nail in the coffin for this one.

I'm thinking the initial issue might've been down to not having enough of the same species in the first place. I did a lot of research on Demasoni for a spec tank, and having just 2 in a community tank with other cichlids isn't exactly ideal. Maybe these little guys tried to assert dominance with the others and just got their feelings hurt due to being outnumbered.
