Thinking of adding some fancy snails to the mix, pagoda and rabbits, do you think they'll get on with my betta?

Got my lad's dumbo from Siam Betta UK, they're based in Southport. Had a good experience, seems a reliable breeder. Only had him a month but he's looking really healthy.

If I'm being honest, getting a baby boy betta sounds like the way to go. You get to raise him from the start and enjoy his whole life. The thing is, you never really know how old a betta is when you buy from a pet store or breeder. I've read stories of some living for years, while others die of old age in just a couple of years - it's all a mystery. As for the female sorority tank, I've gotta agree with the others - it's just not worth the risk. Too many people have tried it and ended up with disaster.

I'd say bettas are generally fine with snails. Some bettas can get a bit testy with mystery snails or ones with long antennae, they might think they're food. But for the most part, they're okay. The rabbit snail might be a different story though, it depends on how feisty your betta is.
