Troubleshooting my duncan coral
Re: Troubleshooting my duncan coral
Yeah, I had damsels in there for cycling, and clowns are tankmates, been fine so far - they all stick to their own. Guess it's just a matter of time before something goes down and one's gone.
Re: Troubleshooting my duncan coral
I'm having a bit of an issue with my Duncan - it's being super shy. I ended up moving it under a ledge, out of direct light and flow, and it seems to be more comfortable there. But the thing is, it still doesn't open up for as long as I'd like. I'm starting to think maybe it's not getting enough light where it is. It's been in this spot for about 3 weeks now... maybe it's time to try a different location.
Re: Troubleshooting my duncan coral
I've noticed my duncan gets pretty stressed when the flow changes, even just a slight increase and it'll clam right up. As was mentioned earlier, keeping calcium levels up is important, but I've also found that magnesium plays a big role in keeping my duncan happy and open.
