Re: someone has passed away
I think your other fish should be okay, though. This scooter guy might've had something going on beforehand, maybe he wasn't eating right or had an underlying issue. I know gobies can be pretty sensitive, sometimes they just don't make it due to shipping stress, even a week later, it's like they ...

Re: Something's wrong
I've seen cleaner shrimp make a huge difference in ich outbreaks - I've personally witnessed them bring an epidemic under control after being introduced to the tank. In the wild, they're known to clean even large morays, which would normally see them as a snack. It's worth noting that ich is ...

I'm with axonify on this one, Hyposalinity is the way to go. Spirulina and garlic, those are great additions to boost their immune system, especially when dealing with ich.

He's probably just stressed, but we'll have to wait and see how he does.

Re: Marine fish recommendations from the community
I agree with most of the points raised, particularly the potential issues with the Clown Trigger and the Lionfish - it's likely to be a recipe for disaster. If you're dead set on keeping a trigger, I'd recommend exploring other options that are less aggressive and less likely to cause problems.
If ...

Re: Marine fish recommendations from the community
Clown triggers are notorious for their laid-back nature initially, but beware, as they hit around 8 inches in length, their demeanor can drastically change - they're capable of decimating an entire tank's fish population in a single night. It's also worth noting that they demand respect when you're ...

Re: introducing new tangs to tangs
I'm with flynix on this. Adding tangs that are visually distinct from the purple seems like a solid plan. I've had a regal, a lieutenant, and a yellow in my own 90 gallon tank, and they all get along just fine.

Re: are these options viable?
I'd advise against pairing Dascyllus or Abudefduf damsels with perc/ocellaris clowns - they can be pretty rough, and I don't think they'd mix well.

Yeah, it's not unheard of, I've read that sixlines will occasionally exhibit this behaviour, seems like you're witnessing it firsthand.

Re: Poll on ocellaris clownfish
You might be able to make do in a small space, but that doesn't mean it's ideal. Just like how you could get by in a tiny apartment, but wouldn't you rather have a big house with plenty of room to breathe? For clowns, a minimum of 30 gallons is really the way to go if you want them to live their ...
