Torches and Hammers can sting each other if they touch. I'd keep them separated by at least 6 inches, maybe more if your flow is strong. What's your lighting setup? High PAR can make them more aggressive. My 50-gallon has two Radion XR15s, and I've seen my Torch extend further under blues.

Hi Laura, welcome to the SW world. Doing the same as you, got my tank cycling too. Added 6 hermits, 6 turbo snails so far, they're doing their job. Interesting thread, about to add my first fish, couple of clowns this weekend.

"Congrats on the new tank. I'd recommend checking the FAQ section, it's got some great info on setting up your marine tank. When it comes to adding the first inhabitants, you'll want to go with a cleanup crew - think crabs, snails, shrimp, that sort of thing. Just a heads up, no fish just yet ...

I had a similar issue, and I made a few changes. I bumped up my temp to 78, dropped them to mid rock level, and moved them closer to a powerhead with a pulsing flow. I think the increased flow has helped - debris and amphipods were likely bothering them, and now they've almost fully opened in just ...
