Yeah the rocks are just stacked on top of each other, biggest flattest ones on the bottom to keep it stable.
I got the fish from Tony, his website's www.tonysafricancichlids.co.uk, he's in Brid. His fish are top notch, never seen so many in one place. His website shows how stunning they are.

Re: My 210l mbuna aquarium
I picked up the fish yesterday and they're settling in nicely. Got a good mix of species, including 7 acei, 4 ndumbi red tops, 4 labs, 4 Afra jalo reef, 4 mpanga, and 4 neon spot.
The neon spots seem to be running the show at the moment, but everyone's getting along. Here are some pics of the new ...

Got the egg crate in, so set the tank up today. Moved the 7 L144s to a 20l tub with tank water first. Then emptied the tank, decor and all, and put the egg crate and rocks in. After that, I washed the coflake sand and added it, followed by the water and the fish.

Re: My 210l mbuna aquarium
Hi, I've decided to scrap the background idea, as it was probably going to result in stuck fish and dead spots. It also would've been a nightmare to remove if I changed the use of the tank.
I'm going with a different approach now - I'll put a piece of perspex on the bottom of the aquarium to ...

Re: My 210l mbuna aquarium
Cheers for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Your tank does look great, I can see how you've arranged your rocks now. I've managed to find a few slightly bigger rocks, so I've made another layout incorporating those. I've also placed the background rocks against the back of the tank and filled ...

Re: My 210l mbuna aquarium
Here are the layouts I've come up with so far:
1st Layout
2nd Layout
I'm also planning to have some slices of stone covering the back of the aquarium, similar to what my dad's friend did. I'll fill the gaps between the big stones with smaller slices to create a lake Malawi cliff face effect ...

Cheers for the replies. I'll grab some pics of the heather in a bit. Appreciate the suggestions for other fish, I'll definitely consider them when I'm at the breeder.

My 210l mbuna aquarium
I'm setting up a 210l mbuna tank soon and thought I'd start a journal. Got a few community fish in there at the moment that I still need to move - if anyone near Hornsea wants a female krib, 5 bronze corys and 2 Corydoras copei, send me a pm. Once they're all gone, I'll drain the tank and give it a ...

fish nibbling my plants - help!
My Anubias and Java Fern are getting wrecked by my Silver Dollars. They're tearing up the leaves, and I'm not sure how to stop it. Tank's a 55 gallon, planted substrate, LED lights on 8 hours a day. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate. Any ideas?
