I've never done drip acclimation before. Is it really that much better than floating? My betta seemed fine last time I just floated the bag for 20 minutes.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's helped me out with breeding my Bettas. I'm thrilled to say that the male has finally started building a bubble nest, so fingers crossed that we'll have some more fry soon.

I select a male and female that I think are suitable for breeding and separate them for a few weeks, feeding them live foods to get them in good breeding condition. Then, I move them to a bare bottom tank with about 4 inches of water and set the heater to around 80 degrees.

I'm trying to breed Bettas and I've had some success before, but I'm running into some issues now. I've got 4 8-week-old fry from a previous spawn, but the male I used before is probably too old now and the female he bred with passed away from dropsy. So, I got a new male to breed with my other ...
